Ok. I may act indifferent about what is happening to my laptop right now.. Hey, I should know that I couldn't do anything until Monday but —
I couldn't leave off it. I keep thinking about the damn thing. It was working properly last Friday. I was even able to transfer money from my BPI Express account online. Then I opened it up again Sunday noon and lo! and behold! toink! Di na po gumagana yung iba nyang keys. Below are my troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue..
Checked if issue is only isolated to one program (tried notepad), NO
Power-cycled the unit (shutdown, reseat battery and power cord), some keys finally were able to work but keys like Enter, S, K, L, D, J, F, and basically doing weird things whenever I'm typing.
Tried to boot the computer in safe mode by pressing F8 at the manufacturer's logo. Unable to go into safe mode. Enter key isn't even working.
Verified that it is already a HW issue and I need to get this fixed ASAP.
Unfortunately, HP Customer Care was closed so I am still unable to report it. Crap. Point 2, this happened on a Sunday. Most businesses are closed on a Sunday. No choice but to wait for Monday. Double crap!
All the same, I still couldn't believe that it would break down on me after a month and a half?!
She asked if it was made in China, I said no, it wasn't. We checked. My right shoe says Made in China, the other says Made in Korea.
I was talking to my officemate Janet and she was commenting on the pair of ala-Melissa Campana jelly shoes that I have.
She asked me where I'd bought it and I told her, it was from Greenhills, both for P500+.
<laughs>
Oh my.. <laughs some more>
