I’m in Iloilo right now, currently multi-tasking again i.e. watching The Minotaur on Star Movies (yes! we have cable!!! hehehe..) and blogging. I arrived last Monday - the flight was thankfully uneventful, no delays, no hitches, no stupid passengers.. not like the last time.
Nobody came to pick me up at the airport so I went home alone. Plenty of cabs waiting - metered taxis by the way so if any of you guys are planning to come by, di na kayo kokontrata ng drayber, di katulad ng sa Manila. :) Cost me around Php180 to get home.
Before that, Honey and I went to Greenhills last Sunday. Him to buy some much-needed “office” tees and me to do some last minute pasalubong shopping. Before buying his tees, we went round Shoppesville’s 2nd floor. The mecca for most toy collectors. Well, we did buy something - a Pyro action figure.
He asked me what I wanted. I’m not really into action figures or toys for that matter. You can blame my mom for that. She never did encourage Barbie dolls and action figures. Now, books - well, that’s a different story.
Oh yeah, Honey got me two Monkey tees. Mukha daw inutil yung monkey. Hehehe.. But the one’s he got me are pretty cute. Here’s me, wearing my Banana Love tee.

Ohhh..
I’m actually now more partial to McFarlane Toys.
Didn’t go St. Mary’s Academy though. I went through a public elementary school then a state university in HS back in Iloilo.
I knew a Frances when I was a kid. She was kinda like the first sweetheart I had. We were in Kinder.

That Pyro figure is actually a very nice one- the sculpt, the paint and the articulation. Unfortunately, the character itself never gained popularity so the figure didn’t sell well.
Also, did you happen to go to St. Mary’s Academy as a kid?
