As usual, I was late. Didn't beat the clock this time.
I got to work at around 7:03PM. Crap. <sigh>
I blame it all on Romnick Sarmienta. Somehow for some weird reason, he invaded my dreams. Nanisi pa ng tao noh?
Oh well.. Pati ba naman sa panaginip ko, I am being harrassed by slant-eyed people?! Maawa naman sila ano?! Hey, no offense meant to them ha?
Ewan ko ba kung bakit mahilig ako sa chinito. Hmm.. Siguro dahil sa sobrang panonood ng anime. And all those Jackie Chan movies when I was growing up. The onslaught of all these Koreanovelas aren't really helping.
Oh yeah, updates on my life!
I am currently "seeing" this guy who's a civil engineer. Unfortunately, anak ng tokwa, Intsik na naman!!! ARRGGHHHH!!! I swear, ayoko na!!! At eto pa ang matindi, mas maganda pa raw sa lola nyo? I mean, really now?! (That was me, being bitchy again.) No, that was my other me, being sarcastic and cynical about everything else.
Oh well.. Que sara..
Yesterday, I was trying to watch the anime Blood+ that one of the team leads burned for me. I was, well.. not really shocked but surprised that my ODD (optical disc drive) was making a lot of noise. Alright, it was making loud whirring sounds. I talked to Kinky about it (yes, Kinky's color-blind
) and he said that the discs that I was trying to read may be warped. Warped in the sense that it's not flat, but bent. Usually, when you check the disc under a light source, you'd see that there are some sort of wavelike patterns on the disc instead of a really flat surface.
So, I had to check it out this AM when I got home. So there I was, trying to see if the discs were warped. But unfortunately, since I have bad eyesight, I couldn't see a thing! The discs seemed pretty flat to me. So next step? Try different media! Luckily, I have this pirated copy of Death Note on hand. I tried playing that and the drive was not making any sounds at all. It was like a finely tuned car engine with a really good muffler.
Yey! My ODD's OK!
Texted Kinky to ask TL TJ to burn me another copy of Blood+.
